This is, of course, alongside taking on a caseload of commercial contracts and driving improvements in our speed of contract closure and customer on-boarding, and involvement across legal matters across our growing business. Over time, you will help scale our in-house legal function and support our international employment and customer bases. Working closely with other teams, you will build relationships and trust and provide comprehensive legal support for all business activities in the commercial, regulatory, corporate, talent and IP areas.

What you’ll do:

  • Contribute to our commercial success and to our ambitious growth agenda as an integrated business partner
  • Review and  negotiate commercial contracts
  • Protect and maintain Beamery intellectual property
  • Support our expansion, working as a business partner to our Chief Revenue Officer on sizeable and growing customer contract case loads
  • Business partner and contribute to our already high-performing in-house legal function
  • Manage relationships with external legal advisors, using their time appropriately and creatively to ensure a focus on core skills and work being in-house
  • Collaborate across Beamery to assess and monitor company compliance with legislation keeping the company up to date with evolving legislation and good practises
  • Develop and manage legal operations relevant, appropriate processes and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance, including training of legal and commercial teams
  • Protect the interests of Beamery by providing legal guidance, corporate governance and advice on compliance matters to the Board, Executive and all Beamery people
  • Preparing and maintaining legal templates, precedents and specimen clauses for use in contracts, side letters, guidelines and other legal agreements
  • Support the management of contentious legal issues, should they arise (e.g. complex complaints, litigation matters, etc.) and liaise with external (investor-funded and third party) legal advisors
  • Work with key stakeholders in Finance on our corporate secretarial requirements, supporting the COO and CEO in dealing with all matters requiring legal advice and action
  • Build a positive reputation for Beamery’s legal team and the organisation through appropriate external participation and relationships, making the Beamery legal team a sought after place to work and potentially enhancing Beamery’s market reputation through legal input into product development

  • Able to manage and deliver a high degree of contract case work, in a fast-paced and unpredictable working environment; you will thrive on it and have demonstrated operating in a similar fashion previously
