ABOUT THE TEAM
Team Kraken is part of the Office of the CTO at Beamery. The team works to accelerate delivery and innovation at Beamery by tackling complex projects at an early stage. As evangelists and thought leaders for technology, we also assess and evaluate cutting edge technologies, frameworks and ways of working. Work in Team Kraken is varied, so there is always something new and exciting to learn and understand. Recently we’ve built a server-side-rendered app to enable a phased rollout of self-serve reporting to customers, we’ve architected and demonstrated a migration pathway for identity management and we’ve iterated on the design and features of our internal-facing browser extension, the “Beamery Hub” to help our colleagues keep up to date.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AT BEAMERY

Be the go-to specialist and advocate for frontend technologies in the team.

Join and contribute to the frontend tribe at Beamery.
-
Work predominantly with greenfield code.
-
Work on a varied range of projects, from initial prototypes and testing of hypotheses to proving out potential solutions to highly complex problems.

Take an active role in the discovery and development of new features and products, from inception to initial phased rollout.

Get outside your comfort zone and get involved in areas including generative AI, data engineering and machine learning.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You embrace and enjoy a fail-fast, experimental and lean approach to iterative software development;
-
You get excited about the latest tools and technologies;
-
You have experience building complex, performant, accessible user interfaces using the latest web standards;

You have a good foundational understanding of Javascript that goes beyond libraries or frameworks;
-
You specialise in the frontend, but as a generalist you love to work across the full stack and broaden your skill set;
-
You have good experience with React or another frontend library (e.g. Vue, Svelte);

You like to write automated tests now, not later;
-
Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD pipelines;

A sense of empathy for users, teammates, colleagues and partners;

A genuine desire to help the team work better together with a healthy dose of fun.
