This is not a ‘steady state’ position — we need someone who thrives in a transformation environment, can hit the ground running, and is equally comfortable shaping strategy and rolling up their sleeves. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt; This is also a genuine opportunity to define what FP&amp;amp;A means in our business. You will be joining as a standalone FP&amp;amp;A leader — building the function, establishing its influence, and setting the standard for how finance insight is generated and used across the organisation. The canvas is largely blank, and we are looking for someone with the vision and energy to paint on it. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt; A central pillar of this engagement is the overhaul of our finance technology stack. You will assess what we have, remove what no longer serves us, and implement modern AI-powered tools to underpin a best-in-class FP&amp;amp;A function — all while keeping the core business reporting and partnering engine running smoothly. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;  &lt;strong&gt; The Team &lt;/strong&gt;  &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt; This role reports directly to our CFO and works closely with the Financial Control team, Commercial &amp;amp; Senior leadership, and the Data and BI teams. At the outset, this is a standalone FP&amp;amp;A role, with the potential scope to shape future team structure. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;  &lt;strong&gt; The Role &lt;/strong&gt;  &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Finance Technology Transformation &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;ul&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Lead a full audit of the current finance technology stack, identifying redundant or underperforming systems. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Design and drive the implementation roadmap for new FP&amp;amp;A tools — including AI-powered planning, consolidation, and reporting platforms — that maximise data processing speed and analytical output. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Evaluate and integrate AI and automation tools to streamline routine finance tasks, freeing up capacity for higher-value insight generation. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Manage vendor selection, procurement, and change management for system transitions. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Decommission legacy tools, ensuring clean data migration and minimal business disruption. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Establish scalable data architecture and governance standards for finance systems. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;/ul&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Building &amp;amp; Leading FP&amp;amp;A &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;ul&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Define and establish the FP&amp;amp;A function from the ground up — setting its mandate, processes, and operating rhythm within the business. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Own the annual budgeting, quarterly reforecasting, and long-range planning processes end-to-end. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Develop and maintain robust financial models and leverage AI-powered analytics tools to deliver faster, deeper insight across revenue, cost, and headcount. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Produce high-quality board and executive reporting packs, translating complex data into clear narratives for senior leadership and non-executive stakeholders. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Lead the preparation and delivery of investor reporting — producing accurate, timely, and well-contextualised financial updates for institutional investors and other key external stakeholders, in line with agreed reporting cadences and obligations. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Support the CFO in managing relationships with third-party stakeholders including lenders, auditors, advisors, and any other parties requiring financial information — ensuring outputs are accurate, professionally presented, and appropriately governed. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Drive the monthly close commentary and variance analysis in close collaboration with the Financial Control team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Shape a longer-term vision for the FP&amp;amp;A team structure and capability, even if hiring is not in scope for this interim period. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;/ul&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Business Partnering &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;ul&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Act as a trusted finance partner to senior business leaders, supporting strategic decision-making with rigorous financial insight. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Build strong relationships with commercial, sales, and operational teams, embedding finance into day-to-day business conversations. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; You have been the person who identified a broken finance tech landscape and fixed it — not just advised on it. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; You actively use AI and modern data tools in your day-to-day work and are ahead of the curve in applying them to FP&amp;amp;A — not just curious about them. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; You have experience producing investor reporting or managing financial communications with institutional investors, lenders, or other external third parties. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; You are as comfortable interrogating a data model or configuring a planning tool as you are presenting to a board or investor audience. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;/ul&gt; Together they collaborate to set the standards for how Engineering will deliver on Beamery’s strategic vision. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt; The Principal Engineers work together as a unified team with a common goal, ensuring our architecture is as best as it can be to enable Product teams to deliver with ease and at scale. They provide technical guidance and mentorship to Engineers across all teams, playing a key role in raising the bar for Engineering performance.  &lt;strong&gt;  &lt;br&gt;  &lt;br&gt; What will you do as a Principal Engineer at Beamery? &lt;/strong&gt;  &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;ul&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Design solutions, produce architectures and write RFCs for initiatives and projects which have impact across Engineering and beyond &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Maintain your hands-on credibility by helping teams ship scalable, performant software &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Partner with Product and Engineering Directors on planning by scoping and sizing for large new projects and features that span multiple teams &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Work with other Principal Engineers to create and update the architectural vision that will deliver on Beamery’s strategy &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Engage with other Principal Engineers in setting and advocating Beamery Engineering technical standards and Engineering Culture &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Set the standard for operational ownership, supporting teams to own their services end-to-end &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Coaching and mentoring Engineers all the way up to Staff level from teams across the organisation &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Collaborate on customer solutions with non-technical stakeholders including Sales, Customer Success and our high profile, Fortune 500 customers &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;/ul&gt;  &lt;p&gt;  &lt;strong&gt; Who are we looking for? &lt;/strong&gt;  &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;ul&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; A proven track record of designing and delivering scalable cloud-based software and services &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Demonstrable experience of running and supporting services in production environments &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Previous experience as an individual contributor in an Engineering leadership position (Staff+, Principal, Architect, etc.) &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Strong experience building and operating backend systems in complex environments. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Expertise with Javascript/Typescript and Node.js Ensuring quality and reliability through unit, integration and end-to-end tests. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Experience with frontend applications built in React. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; A strong understanding of caching strategies for backend services and message queues. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Exposure to DevOps, incident management and CI/CD pipelines. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Experience with Kafka and exposure to SQL and NoSQL databases. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; People leadership / mentorship / coaching &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Ability to collaborate with non-technical colleagues to convert ambiguously defined problems into well-understood requirements and pragmatic solutions &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;/ul&gt;  &lt;p&gt;  &lt;em&gt; Beamery is for Everybody. Key skills/experience: &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;ul&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Hands-on SRE experience, including being on-call and maintaining cloud-based services &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Experience managing Kubernetes production clusters at scale, including cluster upgrades, resource optimization (autoscaling, quotas), and troubleshooting complex networking or scheduling issues. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Proven track record of managing Kubernetes lifecycles, implementing security best practices (RBAC, Network Policies), and maintaining high availability for containerized workloads. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Experienced with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, particularly proficient in Terraform &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Expertise in building and maintaining complex applications in the cloud &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Some operational experience with our key infrastructure components is desirable, Kafka, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and Istio &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;  &lt;li&gt;  &lt;p&gt; Solid software engineering foundations with the ability to build and maintain production-grade tooling. Experience with  &lt;strong&gt; Go &lt;/strong&gt;  would be preferable.
